ISCC History

Inglewood Southside Christian Church (ISCC), is an independent non-denominational Christian church born of the Restoration Movement. It was started and incorporated as Central Park Christian Church of Compton in 1955 by Bro. J.P. and Annie Mae Parmes. Bro. Parmes, a distinguished graduate of Pacific Christian College (MA), worked tirelessly in his ministry, building the church upon the biblical principles of God’s Word. His wife served faithfully in the music ministry of the church right along with him. The church thrived and grew in number and subsequently relocated to Los Angeles taking on the name Los Angeles Southside Christian Church in 1962. With continued growth and the need for more space they later moved the church to its current location in the city of Inglewood CA in 1998, taking on its current name

Before retiring in 1999, Bro. Parmes ordained and installed the current Pastor, Bro. Herbert Botts, whom he had mentored for several years. Bro. Botts, a graduate of Hope International University (formerly Pacific Christian College) continues the work, joined by his wife ShaRon. They are dedicated to the continued growth of the church and Restoration Movement principles. Anchored to the Word of God, empowered through the Spirit of Christ, and motivated with love for God’s humanity, the church continues in its forward progress of making a difference in the home, community, and world for Christ.

Mission

Being a church that anchors Christ in the church, home, and community. We seek to edify Christ in all of our circles of influence that others would come to know Him personally.

Vision

To be a Christ-centered church where disciples make disciples, always becoming a reflection of Revelation 7:9, which says that in Heaven, there will be “a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, every tribe, and every tongue…”
